M. Shirley (Nelson) McKallagat, 93, of Andover, Massachusetts passed away on Tuesday, July 26th at Mary Immaculate Restorative Center, Lawrence.
She was born Lowell, Massachusetts on July 15, 1923, the eldest of five children to William P. and Mary (Conley) Nelson. She was a graduate of Lowell High School and attended Lowell Commercial College. Shirley was a long time communicant of St. Augustine’s, Andover, MA;

She is survived by her 5 Children
Three sons: Richard D. and his wife, Nancy of Naples, FL,
Shawn W. and his wife, Cynthia, Haverhill, MA
Stephen F. and his wife, Pamela, North Andover, MA
Two Daughters: Karen A. McKallagat and Rick Douglass, Manchester, NH
Suzanne M. Russo, Belmont, NH
13 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family including her sister, Patricia Stagnone.
Predeceased by: Her brothers, William and John Nelson, and a sister, Maureen Letourneau

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 30th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA.
