Worcester- Carol A. (Leatherdale) Sasseville, 52, of 54 St. Nicholas Ave., died Saturday, July 23, at the home of her son and his wife in Rutland after a long battle with cancer.
Her husband, Gary L. Sasseville, died in 1978. She leaves a son, Bryan D. Sasseville and his wife Tracy of Rutland; a daughter, Joanne R. Serra and her husband Dennis of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Garrett A. Sasseville of Rutland and Alayna J. Serra of Orlando, FL; her mother, Catherine (Phoenix) Rosene of Florida; her paternal grandmother, Annie Leatherdale of England; two brothers and a sister. She was born in Hitchin, England, daughter of Donald Leatherdale and lived here many years. She graduated from Algonquin Regional High School, Northborough.
Mrs. Sasseville was employed at Astra-Zeneca Pharmaceutical for 6 years. Previously, she worked at Digital Corp., which later became Quantum Corp.
She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 25, in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. A funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. following the calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
