EWING PILKINTON, 92, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016.
He was a retired employee of LG&E, a member of the Lewis-Parkland Masonic Lodge No. 638, a volunteer for Shively Area Ministries, a faithful member and deacon of Rockford Lane Baptist Church, and a Navy veteran of WW II.
Ewing was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Betty Pilkinton, on Saturday, July, 23, 2016 just hours before him.
Survivors include his children, David Pilkinton (Florence), Vicki Stokes (Tom), Debbie Lowery (Kenny) and Patricia Martin (Tim); nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
A joint funeral service for Ewing and Betty will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday.
