Antone B.”Tony Rapp” Rapoza Aged 86 yrs. Passed away July 21, 2005 in New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Irene (Lacerda) Rapoza.
Mr. Rapoza was born in New Bedford a son of Antone B. and Julia (Perry) Rapoza, was in the U.S.Navy during WWII and after his discharge became a Firefighter for the city of New Bedford for 35 yrs. He was also a Trumpet and Bass Fiddle player in the Perry Brothers Orchestra, composed of Brothers , Uncles and a Sister. He also worked at the Perry Funeral Home.
Mr. Rapoza is survived by 2 Daughters Rita Medeiros of New Bedford and Catherine Olsen of Manchester, Conn. 2 Grandchildren Brian Medeiros and Pamela Boudreau and 2 Greatgrandchildren Ryan Paul and Adam Paul Boudreau.
Mr. Rapoza’s Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church Monday July 25, 2005 at 10 AM and His visiting hours will be Sunday June 24, 2005 from 3 to 7 PM at the Perry Funeral Home
