
Dolores T. (Brisson) Pires, 79, of Westport passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of Louis Pires, they had been married since 1956.
Mrs. Pires was born in Fall River, daughter of the late George and Grace (Chabot) Brisson and had been a longtime resident of Westport. Prior to her retirement, she worked as an assistant school teacher at the Montessori School of the Angels in Westport. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post #5392 in Tiverton and a communicant of St. George Church, Westport.
Survivors along with her husband include her son: Gregory Pires and his wife Alyce of Dartmouth; her daughter: Tina LePage of Assonet; her brother: Ernest Brisson and his wife Georgette of MD; 3 sisters: Jacqueline Bourdon of Westport, Collette Cardelli of Fall River and Lucille Patterson of Tiverton; 2 grandchildren: Rachel LePage and Andrew LePage and his wife Monique; 2 great grandsons: Ryan & Ross LePage; along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, July 28, 2016 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-7 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
