New Bedford – Maria Cecilia Pacheco, age 93, passed away on Friday July 22, 2016 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. She was the loving wife of the late Agostinho Pacheco, Jr. and the daughter of the late Angelo M. and Antonia (De Matos) Tavares.
Born in Agua do Pau, St. Michael, Azores, Maria came to this country in 1967 and devoted her life to the upbringing her family.
She is survived by her son, Jorge D. Pacheco, Sr. and his wife, Isabel of Lutz, Fla; 2 grandchildren: Jorge Daniel Pacheco, Brian M. Pacheco; 3 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Mrs. Pacheco was also the mother of the late Henry Pacheco, husband of Cecilia Pacheco.
