Obituary

Paul A. Paris, age 73 of Methuen passed away on July 22, 2016 at the Holy Family Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Paul was born in Lawrence on July 2, 1943 to the late Wilfrid and Waltrude (Trembly) Paris. Mr. Paris was a graduate of Central Catholic High School of Lawrence. Following his high school graduation, Paul proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Paris was a long time employee of Verizon, where he retired as a manager at the age of 58. He was a former member of the Telephone Pioneers. Paul was a former communicant of St. Patrick’s Church of South Lawrence. Mr. Paris was an avid traveler, and upon his retirement, he embarked on a grand world voyage with his wife. He loved attending his children’s sporting events. He was a former baseball umpire for various local leagues. Mr. Paris loved all Boston professional sports teams. Paul was very devoted to the Republican Party. He will be missed by his beloved dog Louie.

Paul was the beloved husband of Dianna (Panusky) Paris of Methuen with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Stephen Paris and his wife Bonnie of Methuen, and Susan Rios and her husband Juan of Lawrence. Mr. Paris was the loving grandfather of Jacqueline Paris, Michael Paris, Christian Rios, Jamiel Rios, and Kayliana Rios.
