Mr. James E Lawrence passed away Friday July 22, 2005 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital – North MS in Oxford, MS. The visitation will be held the day of the service on Wednesday July 27, 2005 from 12:00 noon to service time at the Bayson Chapel. The funeral service will be held at Bayson Chapel at 1:00 PM on Wednesday July 27, 2005 with reverend Amos Sims officiating. The interment will be in the Bayson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Lawrence was born on November 25, 1941 to the late Mr. Clarence Lawrence and the surviving Mrs. Myrtle Alexander Lawrence. Mr. Lawrence worked for the Water Valley School System as a Mechanic and Bus Driver for 35 years before retiring. He was a member and trustee at the Bayson Chapel in Yalobusha County.
Mr. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Ruth “Pam” Lawrence of Water Valley, Mississippi; two sons, James B. Lawrence (wife – Linda) and Rodney D. Lawrence both of Water Valley, Mississippi; his mother, Myrtle Alexander Lawrence of Water Valley, Mississippi; one sister, Lue Bertha Lawrence of Alton, Illinois; two brothers, Ardell Lawrence of Alton, Illinois and George Lawrence of Water Valley, Mississippi and a granddaughter, LaKaya Lawrence of Water Valley, Mississippi.
