Gualberto “Al” Pacheco, age 67, of East Freetown passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2016 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Furnas, São Miguel Açores he was the son of the late Manuel and Christina Pacheco and the devoted husband of Patricia (Taveira) Pacheco. Al loved the outdoors, fishing at South Shore Beach in Little Compton, RI, doing yardwork and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Rachel and Christopher Pacheco of East Freetown, siblings; Mariana Baptista of Fall River, Evangelina Cruz of Tiverton, RI, Judith Pavao of Fort Myers, FL, and Maria I. Sousa of Tiverton, RI, brother-in-law’s; Antone Taveira of East Freetown, and Paul Taveira of Long Island, New York and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Jose, Antonio, Claudio, and Laudalina Pacheco.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Bernard’s Church in Assonet at 10 A.M. Interment is private. Calling hours on Sunday from 3-7 P.M.
