Cecile L. Parenteau 82, formerly of Chester St. died July 17, 2016 at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph B. Parenteau. Born in Blackstone, she was a daughter of the late Napoleon and Rosanna (Cabana) Gaudet. She was a homemaker for most of her life. In her youth, Cecile worked in the textile mills. She loved to play cards and board games.
Cecile is survived by her daughters Jacqueline Roberge of Burrillville, and Lisa Papadakis of Bellingham, a brother Henry Gaudet of Woonsocket, and two grandchildren, Alan Cournoyer and Sarah Cosgrove. She was predeceased by a son Phillip Parenteau and a daughter Pauline Baker, and thirteen siblings.
Her funeral and visitation will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM in the Fournier & Fournier
Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a service in the Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
