ACTON-Nickolas A. Bottos, 59, of Acton, died Thursday, July 21st at home. He leaves his wife, Cassiani N. (Mitsis) Bottos, a son; Konstantinos N. Bottos of Acton, 2 daughters; Anastasia N., wife of Anastasios Papathanasiou of Belmont and Vasiliki N., wife of John Pavlo of the North Shore, 4 brothers; Dimitrios Bottos of Athens, Mike Bottos of New York, his twin, George Bottos of Broomal, PA and Philippos Bottos of Acton, 3 sisters; Eleni Grivas and Maria Kontis both of Wilmington, DE and Vasiliki Gouvias of Broomal, PA, 3 grandsons; Demetrios, Nickolas and Vasilios, Papathanasiou. 2 brothers Vasilios and Elia Bottos predeceased him.
He was born in Fatiri, Epirus, Greece the son of Athanasios and Anastasia (Sioutis) Bottos and came to the United States in 1969. Mr. Bottos owned and operated Acton New London Style Pizza. He was a member of St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, and was an avid soccer enthusiast. He had been a high school soccer coach, as well as coaching teams in the Boston and Worcester areas.
The funeral is Monday, July 25th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, July 24th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
