WORCESTER-Rita M. (Cox) Sullivan, 92, of 340 May Street, formerly of 12 Ruthven Avenue, died Thursday, July 21st in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband, John F. Sullivan, Jr., died in 1973. She leaves 3 daughters: Maureen E. O’Connor of Worcester, Janet M., wife of James G. Hedlund of Holden, and Judith, wife of James J. Noone of Southborough; a brother, Ralph R. Cox of Worcester, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. A brother, Raymond H. Cox, and 2 sisters, Dorothea Glavin and Helen Rose, predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Pearly J. and Ella F. (Morris) Cox. Mrs. Sullivan was a graduate of Ascension High School and St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing, and had been a member of Immaculate Conception Parish.
The funeral is Monday, July 25th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, July 24th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
