Norman J. Smith, 68, of Balcom Road, Foster, died Monday, July 11, 2016 unexpectedly at his home. He was the husband of Julie A. (Duguay) Smith. They had been married for 42 amazing years.
Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Francis and Mildred (Johnson) Smith. He had lived in Foster for 39 years, was the owner of Universal Electric Company and had served in the US Navy. Norman loved working on cars and spending time with friends and family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Jennifer Robinson and her husband, Kristopher Robinson of Warwick, Christine Lonergan and her husband, Eric Lonergan of Warwick, two grandsons: Lucas and Wesley Robinson and his siblings: Mildred Anthony of Warwick, Janet Quackenbush of Foster and Patricia Shakel and Frank Smith of East Providence.
A funeral service will be held July 22, 2016 at 12:30 in ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
