Selby "Bud" Hancox,77, of 24 George St., died Tuesday, July 19 at
home surrounded by his family and the heartfelt support of UMASS Memorial
Hospice and the Levine Cancer Center.
He leaves his wife of 56 years, Marjorie J. (Wilson) Hancox, a son David A.
and his wife Anne Hancox of Milford, two daughters Maryeileen and her
husband Richard Wood of Syracuse, N.Y., and Cathy J. and her husband Stephen
Racine of Charlton, five grandchildren, Nathaniel and Christopher Wood,
Gregory Racine, Thomas and Grace Hancox.
Mr. Hancox was fleet manager at Coan Oil Co., Inc. in Natick for 20 years,
before retiring in 1993. Previously he worked at Peter Fuller
Cadillac/Oldsmobile in Boston for several years.
He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Rochdale.
Born in Boston, he was the son of Selby and Isabel (Johnston) Hancox.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 30 at 1p.m. in Christ
Episcopal Church, 1089 Stafford St., Rochdale section of Leicester. There
are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to
either UMASS Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, 01605 or Christ
Episcopal Church, 1089 Stafford St., Rochdale, 01542.
