Obituary

William Stanikmas,83 of 230 Pine St., died Wednesday, July 20 at
St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Ruby L. (Cash) Stanikmas, two sons William
F. "Tim" Stanikmas of Leicester and Scott D. and his wife Lori Stanikmas of
Spencer, a brother Clifford E. Stanikmas of Spencer, three sisters Phyllis
Slattery of Worcester, Elizabeth Lemerise and Joyce Dowd of Spencer, four
grandchildren, Richard Hynes, Jr., Heather Brooks, Steven and Michael
Stanikmas, two great grandchildren Dalton and Shaligh Brooks, his son in law
Richard Hynes, Sr. of N.Oxford, several nieces and nephews. A daughter
Christina L. Hynes of N.Oxford died in 1993. He is also predeceased by two
brothers Joseph and Howard Stanikmas and a sister Mary Ellen Stanikmas. Mr.
Stanikmas owned and operated Stanikmas Trucking Co. from 1955-77.
He graduated from Leicester High School, and served in the U.S. Navy during
WWII. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting and ice fishing.
Born in Leicester, he was the son of Anthony and Mary (Hollings) Stanikmas.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 25 at 10 a.m. in the
MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow
with Military Honors in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester. A calling hour will
be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, prior to the service. Please omit flowers,
contributions may be made to Central Mass. Chapt. of Homeless Veterans, 69
grove St., Worcester, 01605.
