Obituary

Gilford------Thomas John “TJ” Munsey 36, of Young Road, died unexpectedly Monday, July 4, 2016.

TJ was born October 22, 1979 in Laconia, son to Thomas A. and Jean F. (Douphinett) Munsey. He had worked as a package handler for UPS for over 15 years and had been a long time seasonal employee for Hector’s Fine Food & Spirits in Laconia.

If you ever had the opportunity to sit down and get to know TJ it was easy to see past the scruffy hair and old bandana and see the genuine person that he was. If you were part of TJ's life you are one of the lucky people in the world. The thought and care that came from TJ was like no other. TJ was truly selfless, a gift from TJ was a gift from the heart. There was no cookie cutter with him. Thought and effort was always a priority for him, not convenience.

TJ enjoyed any thing with a motor. Motorcycles were a true favorite of his. This love was instilled at a young age by his dad, Tom. That passion never left him. TJ could often be found working on things that might not even necessarily need it.
Just like motorcycles, TJ also enjoyed cooking. It was not uncommon for TJ to show up at YOUR house with an arm full of groceries and cook you a gourmet dinner.

TJ did not have any nieces or nephews, but he made a lasting impression on at least one little girl. Olivia, the daughter of long time friend Justin, will truly miss him. He could often be seen doing sidewalk chalk, playing catch, jumping rope, or even making bracelets with her. She will carry on his memory forever and she will miss him dearly.

TJ is survived by his loving mother, Jean Munsey of Gilmanton, NH, his sister, Megin Munsey of Alton, NH, his grandfather, Maurice Munsey of Gilmanton, NH as well as an extended family of loving close friends. He is predeceased by his father, Tom Munsey, his maternal grandmother, Gwen Hooker and his paternal grandmother, Gloria Munsey.
