Mrs. Patricia McPhee, a longtime Wilmington Resident passed away peacefully at the Lahey Hospital and Medical center in Burlington, July 6, 2016, following a lengthy illness. She was 93 years of age. Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Norman A. McPhee. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada she was the daughter of the late Jack and Elizabeth (McCormick) Murphy.
Patricia was raised in New Brunswick, Canada and came to the United States in November of 1948. She lived in Somerville for a period of time and eventually settled into her new home in Wilmington that she helped build with her late husband. Mostly devoted to her family Patricia cherished her role as a mother and was happiest at home caring for the needs of her growing family. In leisure time she enjoyed gardening and sewing. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and was so proud of all their accomplishments.
In addition to her late husband and parents, Patricia is predeceased by her brother, Jack Murphy.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted children, Allan McPhee and his wife Priscilla of Winchester, Norma McPhee of Wilmington, and Cathy Roberts of Middleton. She was the loving grandmother of Sarah McPhee and her husband Austin Terry of Colorado, Amanda McPhee of New Yok, Garrett and Bradley Roberts, both of Middleton and loving great grandmother of Bodhi Terry. Cherished sister of Francis Murphy of Canada.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Monday, July 11th, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home prior to the Mass from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
