Julia K. McCarron, 89, of Bedford, NH, died Friday July 1, 2016 in the Arbors of Bedford. She was born in Bangor, ME on May 25, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Ellen (Givern) McCarthy. Mrs. McCarron had been a resident of Bedford for the past several years, formerly living in Litchfield, NH and Billerica, MA. She was a graduate of John Bapst High School in Bangor, ME. Mrs. McCarron had been employed as an administrative assistant for Sander Associates, as well as Computer Vision. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Litchfield, where she was a member of the Ladie's Guild. Mrs. McCarron was an avid reader and was known to be a great storyteller.
She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Parrott and her husband Charles of Andover, MA, Michael McCarron and his wife Vicki of Bangor, ME, Julie MacIntosh and her husband Edwin of Merrimack, NH; and Brian McCarron and his wife Gail of Salem, NH; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; as well as her sister, Irene Daily of Salt Lake City, UT; She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, James B. McCarron in 2007, and her brother, John E. McCarthy.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Tuesday, July 5th from 6 - 8 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, July 6th at 10:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 9 St. Francis Way, Litchfield. The burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry.
