Rita A. McCabe, age 90 of Canton passed away June 29th at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton. Born and raised in Boston, Rita graduated from St. Margaret’s High School in Dorchester. She worked as a confidential clerk at Boston Edison for many years before retiring in 1985. Rita was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of the Canton Catholic Women’s Club. Beloved daughter of the late Thomas J. & Annie McCabe and the last surviving member of her family which included Mary McCabe Chane , James F., Thomas J., Charles E. and Frederick J. McCabe. Survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Saturday morning at 10:00. Visiting hour at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Saturday morning prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Burial St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
