Obituary

NEEDHAM: David Huntington Bradley, 94, of Needham and a former longtime resident of Weston died peacefully and comfortably on June 18, 2016.
He was the son of the late Robert H. Bradley, Sr. and Ellenor R. (Hall) Bradley.
Dave was the beloved husband for 71 years of the late Barbara B. “Bobbie” Bradley who died on October 26. 2015.
He was the loving father of David H. “Chip” Bradley, Jr. and his wife Lucy of Weston; Stephen C. Bradley and his wife Melinda of Wellesley; Elizabeth B. “Betsy” Coughlan of Kennebunk and the late Douglas B. Bradley who died on September 7, 2015. Cherished grandmother of Amory B. Barnes and her husband Eli; Jessica B. Roberson and her husband Neil; Stephanie B. Ade and her husband Chris; Chandler W. Bradley and his wife Lara-Anne; Kelley E. Weaver and her husband Hunter; Christina H. Bradley, Ian D. Coughlan and Christopher B. Coughlan. Great-grandfather of Reid Roberson, Hadley Barnes, Brooke Roberson, Parker Barnes and Abigail Ade. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Deerfield Academy and Williams College and has remained active in the alumni associations. He served his country proudly and with honor as an Ensign during World War II with the United States Navy.
Dave was a well-known and successful businessman and realtor throughout Boston and Weston. He was instrumental in the development of business in Weston Center. For many years he was the owner of L. Davenport Boyd. He served on the National Association of Realtors; was a Past President of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, Past President of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors and a former Regional Vice President for New England. In 2004. Dave was awarded the “Distinguished Service Award” by the National Association of Realtors which is given to one recipient in the United States each year for their outstanding service to the Association. Dave also served as President of the Weston Rotary Club and remained an active member. He will always be remembered for his kindness, quick wit and love of his family.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at St. Pater’s Episcopal Church, 320 Boston Post Road, Weston on October 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Dave’s memory be sent to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
