Sister of Margaret Segerstedt of Quincy, Ellen & her husband Patrick Mohan of Mission Viejo, CA, and the late John J. E. Granahan & his wife Grace. Aunt of Lt. Michael Granahan, QFD & his wife Karen of Hanover, the late Lance CPL John Wm. Granahan, the late Kathy Bynoe, the late Kevin Granahan, Patrick Mohan of IN, and Colleen Mohan of New York. Also survived by 2 grand nephews and 3 grand nieces.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Friday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 PM.
Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
Rita proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. She worked as a key punch operator for the Charlestown Navy Yard, the South Weymouth Navy Base, and the South Shore Hospital. She was an avid bowler, swimmer, and enjoyed traveling.
