Joseph D. Pelletier Sr, 94, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Hebert Nursing Home in Smithfield. He was the husband of the late Jeanne Rita (Desautels) Pelletier.
Born in Three Rivers, Canada, he was the last living child of eight children born to Ludger and Marie Reine (Plouffe) Pelletier.
He was a Union plumber for Local 28 and Local 51 for over 50 years before his retirement. He served in the US Army during WWII.
He is survived by his children: Joseph Pelletier, Jr. of Greenville, Paulette Ruzzo of North Providence, Cheryl Wenzel of Converse, TX and Barbara Pelletier of Bristol, his grandson: Timothy Ruzzo and his two great grandsons: Joseph and Jonathan.
His funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 from Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Monday 8-9am.
