BEVERLY: Raymond D. “Don” Peake, 84, died Sunday, June 19, 2016 at his home following an extended illness, with his loving wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of Sandra M. (Petrush) Peake.
In addition to his wife of 43 years, he is survived by their daughter, Michelle along with children from a previous marriage: a daughter, Lynn Guilbault; sons, Mark, Michael and Matthew; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his son, Neil, his daughters, Sharon Loch and Donna Cavanaugh and his sisters, Joan McDermott and Dorothy Gehrig.
Born in Pennsauken, New Jersey on August 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Rose M. (Contina) Peake. He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s College in Philadelphia with a degree in Physics. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was honorably discharged in September 1954. Don had resided in Boxford for many years before moving to Beverly twenty years ago.
Most of his professional career was involved with the electronics industry where he was the holder of several patents in the design of related manufacturing equipment. He held the position of VP of Manufacturing/Operations for several East Coast Companies.
