Harold F. Cummings, 83, of Salem, NH died Saturday at his home. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he moved to Salem as a child. During World War II, he served with the 2nd Aircraft Assembly Squadron, 13th Air Force Division in the Pacific Theatre.
In his earlier years, Harold traveled extensively throughout the US on the thoroughbred racing circuit as an exercise rider. He was retired from Malden Mills and he had previously been employed at Johns-Manville, the Pacific and the Ayer Textile Mills in Lawrence, MA.
He attended St. Joseph Church in Salem where he was a Charter Member and a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus #4442 in Salem. He was an avid Boston Celtics fan and enjoyed bowling and horse racing.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary V. (Lomastro) Cummings and his sister Haydee Antelli.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9PM.
