CHESTER EARL HIGBEE, 92, formerly of Meade County, Kentucky, was born February 4, 1924 and entered his heavenly home on June 20, 2016.
He was a retired employee of S&T Industries and the Commonwealth Convention Center and a Navy veteran of
WW II.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Ernestine (Lamkin) Higbee and parents, Asa and Tella Mae Higbee.
Survivors include his children, Shirley Ferris (Mike), Karen Hernandez (Richard), Robert Earl “Bobby” Higbee (Shirley) and Dorothy Higbee (Steven Morris); 7 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; his sisters, Margaret Berry and Thelma Curl; his brother, Raymond Higbee (Betty); and his extended family at Morningside Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in New Highland Baptist Church Cemetery, Brandenburg, KY.
Visitation will be from 2- 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
