Frances (Rauseo) Benvenuto, of Medford, died Saturday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was 90.
The daughter of the late Rocco and the late Carmella (LaPenna) Rauseo, Frances came to the United States from Italy when she was 11. She first settled in East Boston, and has lived in Medford for 65 years. Before retiring, Frances woked as a stitcher at Byron Clothing in Davis Sq. Her family meant everthing to her. She liked to cook for family and enjoyed the company of her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Benvenuto, who died in 1976. She was a devoted mother to Dolores Perella, Barbara Gedrimas and her husband Richard all of Medford. A loving grandmother to Vincent, Susan, Cheryl, Donna, Laura, Lynn and a loving great-greatgrandmother of 10. She was the sister of Anthony Rauseo and Claire of W.Yarmouth, the late Anna “Bobbie” Warner and Rose Sgroi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 3 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
