Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Gerard J. “Gerry” Comeau 63 years of Brockton died unexpectedly Thursday evening at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of M. Joyce (Alger) Comeau. Mr. Comeau was born in Boston a son of the late John and Ethel (Nolan) Comeau. He was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain and was a graduate of St. Mary High School class of 1960.For the past 25 years he has been a resident of Brockton. In his youth he enjoyed summers in Chatham.
At the time of his retirement Mr. Comeau was a senior technician with Ikon Office Solutions in Westboro where he had worked for 16 years. Previously he was a truck driver for many years with Jeremiah Trucking Company in Boston.
He enjoyed driving his motorcycle and boat and watching NASCAR racing.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Andrea M. Lindgren of Clearfield, Utah, a step-son Arthur Abaire of Dedham; a brother William “Bill” Comeau of No. Easton; one grandson, several nieces, nephews, cousins, bothers-in- law and sisters-in-law
