Laconia-----Alfred E. "Fred" Panarella, 75, of Church Street, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at home.
Freddy was born on January 16, 1941 in Queens, New York the son of Peter and Marie (Pilszynski) Panarella.
Freddy loved music, sunsets, tanning, baseball, gambling and collecting watches. He loved to take long walks and often said "no one stops and enjoys the beauty anymore". Freddy always said "material things didn't matter, it's the relationships in life that did". He loved spending time with his daughter Erica and his grandchildren Pheonix and Chevy, he especially liked going to the playground , the beach and joking and laughing with them. He loved letting everyone know how good looking he was and would tell Erica she got her good looks from "me kid".
Freddy is survived by a son, Robert Panarella of NY; three daughters, Erica Gilbert, of Gilmanton, Kim Panarella and Kelly Dahari, both of NY; four grandchildren, Pheonix Gilbert-Cunningham, Chevy O'Connor and Heather and Dustin Calley and his extended family, Anthony Gilbert and Abbalyn Gilkins. In addition to his parents, Alfred was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Rushford) Panarella , a brother Steve Panarella and a nephew Anthony Panarella.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Northfield-Tilton Congregational Church, 283 Main Street, Tilton, NH, 03276.
