Josephine P. Cameron, 97, died Friday, July 15, 2005 at her residence in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Derry, NH. Mrs. Cameron was born in Methuen, MA on June 24, 1908, a daughter of the late Patrick and Diane (Willet) Donohoe. She was employed for many years as a burler for the Shawsheen Mill and the Wood Mill, both in Lawrence, MA. She later retired from Honeywell Corp. in Lowell and Waltham, MA. She was very well cared for at her residence at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center.
She is survived by four children, Gerard J. Cameron and his wife Mary of FL, Forrest "Jim" J. Cameron and his wife Jacqueline of Epping, NH, Dianne M. Cameron of Derry, Paul F. Cameron, M.D. of Montpelier, VT, a sister, Sr. Evelyn Donohue (Sisters of Charity) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, a brother, Charles Donohoe of Weslaco, TX, 23 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Aime Cameron in 1978.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, July 19th at 10:00am in St. Patrick's Church, 118 S. Broadway, Lawrence, MA. Calling hours were 4-7pm on Monday at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Following cremation, private burial was in the St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
