Obituary

Joseph C. Farrell, 74, of Salem, NH died Tuesday at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.

He was born in Lynn, MA, grew up and was educated in Danvers, MA graduating from St. John’s Prep in Danvers, MA. Joseph was a 1952 graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. He served his country during the Korean War in the Air Force. He had lived in Salem for the past 30 years.

Joseph was an accounting supervisor for Western Electric in North Andover, MA for 30 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Methuen, MA and a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Salem, NH.

He was a collector of baseball cards and comic books and well as an avid Bruins & Red Sox Fan.

He was predeceased by his brothers John, James and Charlie Farrell and his sister Dorothy Farrell.

Wife of 48 years Fay (Thomson) Farrell of Salem, NH
Sons: Peter & his wife Lucy Farrell of San Mateo, CA
Stephen Farrell of Framingham, MA
Former Daughter-in-law: Sally Farrell
Brother: Lawrence & his wife Irene Farrell of Brookdale, FL

4 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Church in Salem, NH. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Salem Boys & Girls Club, 3 Geremonty Drive, Salem, NH 03079.
