Phyllis A. (King) Dykas,70, of 124 Green St., Leicester died
Thursday, July 13 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
She was the wife of L.Hugh Dykas who died in 1987. She leaves a son Leon H.
Dykas, III and his wife Gina of Leicester, five daughters Linda M. Cataldo
of
Orange, Ct., Mary Kay and her husband Neil Hannant of London, England,
Patricia D. and her husband Didier Gonet of Leicester, Theresa J. and her
husband Gregory Burtt of Leicester and Colleen D. and her husband Randolph
Ramirez of Milford, Ct., two brothers Thomas F. King, Jr. of Shrewsbury and
James P. King of Leicester, five sisters Agnes M. Doyle of White Horse
Beach, Elizabeth K. Miller of Dennis, Mary Ellen Griffin of Scituate,
Kathleen F. Madaus of Falmouth and Sally J. Carney of Leicester, 13
grandchildren, a
great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by
a daughter
Elizabeth M. Dykas and a sister Ann Marie Robertson.
Mrs. Dykas was a claims representative at Hanover Insurance Co. in
Worcester
before retiring. Along with her husband she owned and operated several
local
businesses including Seven D's Snowmobile Center in Leicester.
She was a graduate of Leicester High School and attended St. Joseph's
Church. She dedicated her life to her husband, children, and extended
family.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Thomas F. and Mary K. (Flynn)
King.
The funeral will be held Saturday, July 16 from the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL
HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church,
759 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery,
Leicester. Calling hours are Friday, July 15 from 5 to 8p.m. In lieu of
