In Taunton, June 6, 2016 Edith E. (Schnetz) Macomber, Age 82, passed away in Morton Hospital following a brief illness. Edith was the wife of the late George Macomber Jr.. She was born in Mosbach, Germany, the daughter of the late Karl & Laura Schnetz. Edith was a resident of Taunton, she was employed as a assembler at the Ad-A-Day Company in Taunton until her retirement. Edith enjoyed knitting, watching tv and spending time with her family. Edith leaves her loving son George Macomber and his wife Wanda of Taunton. She also leaves her sister Martha Steltzer of N.J., her sister in law Kathleen Macomber and nephew Charles Macomber both of Taunton. A graveside service will be held at the Mayflower Hill Cemetery on Friday, June 10th at 9 am. Visiting hours are kindly omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
