TAUNTON - Daniel J. McCormack, a resident of Taunton for over seventeen years, formerly of Randolph, died on May 31, 2016 in Morton Hospital.
He was 87.
Mr. McCormack was the beloved husband of Marie L. (Fahey) McCormack for over 62 years.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Mark and Ellen (McDonald) McCormack.
Before retirement in 1985, Daniel was employed with Kendall Research & Development as a facility manager for many years.
Mr. McCormack could fix anything that was broken, but most of all he was a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family.
Besides his loving wife Marie, Daniel is survived by a son, Daniel J. McCormack and wife Susan of Mansfield: two daughters, Linda M. Sproules and husband David of Randolph and Jean M. Mofford and husband John of Taunton; a brother, Paul McCormack of Quincy; and a sister, Nancy Mahoney of Norwell.
Mr. McCormack was the cherished grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 7.
He was also the grandfather of the late Kayla J. McCormack and brother of the late Claire Donelan, Mark and Joseph McCormack.
His funeral will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 9 a.m. from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary’s Church, Broadway, Taunton.
Interment with military honors will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne MA.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 5th from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Daniel’s memory made to a charity of one’s choice, would be deeply appreciated.
