Kathleen A. McGrath Gravito a longtime resident of Woburn passed away sudden and unexpectedly from natural causes at her home Monday, May 30, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Anthony Gravito. Born in Medford and raised in Burlington she was one of eight children of the late John F. and Josephine C. (Sullivan) O'Sullivan.
Kathleen was raised and educated in Burlington. She worked for many years as a waitress in Woburn at the Main Street Diner. She loved to travel with Aruba being one her favorite destinations. She was a member of the St. Anthony Club, Woburn Moose and the American Legion in Burlington. She was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. However her greatest joy was her family and Kathleen cherished her role as a grandmother constantly sharing her unconditional love for them all. She will be greatly missed.
Sadly in addition her late parent, Kathleen is predeceased by her husbands William T. McGrath and Gary P. Reed. She is also predeceased by her sisters; Mary Gardner and Margaret Hutchinson, brothers; Richard, Michael and Timothy O'Sullivan.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted children, Shani Tomassetti and her husband Peter of Billerica, Heidi Reed of Wilmington, Heather Collins and her husband Todd of Plymouth, Michele Reed and her husband Thomas, Danielle Corey and her husband Ryan all of Wilmington. She was the loving grandmother of Jake Kelly III, Andrew and Zach Tomassetti, Kasandra and Alyssa Stack, Kailee and Rylie Collins, Gavin Reed, Hallie and Hannah Corey. Cherished sister of John O'Sullivan and wife Cheryl of Chelmsford, Dennis O'Sullivan of Salem, NH. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, June 4th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Margaret Church, 109 Winn St., Burlington, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held Friday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen's memory to March of Dimes Premature Birth and Birth Defects at www.marchofdimes.org.
