WORCESTER - Donald V. Conroy, 75, of Hitchcock Road died Sunday, May 19 at home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 50 years Rita (Mathieu) Conroy of Worcester; a daughter Donna M. Conroy - Laboeuf of Worcester; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was born in Westfield, CT.
He was a Army veteran serving during World War II.
Mr. Conroy worked for the City of Worcester for over 35 years in the Department of Public Works Street Department retiring in 1989. He is a member of St. Peter's Church and was a former Eucharistic Minister.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 22 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.ROYFUNERAL.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in St. Peter's Church 929 Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Tuesday, May 21 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
