
Mr. Edward H. “Buddy” Patenaude, Sr., of Taunton, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 28 in Morton Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Angelina C. (Camara) Patenaude. He was born 89 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Clyde L. and Eileen (Watson) Patenaude, Sr. Buddy was educated in Taunton and attended the Coyne Electrical School in Boston. He was a lifelong city resident. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 223 for over 40 years. He was previously employed at Reed and Barton Silversmiths in Taunton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served aboard the WTS Hampton. Buddy enjoyed playing golf and cards. He also played baseball for Immaculate Conception School in his youth. He was a communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Parish in Taunton.
In addition to his wife, he leaves: 2 sons: Edward H. Patenaude, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Taunton, and Michael F. Patenaude and his wife, Laura of Taunton; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Clyde L. Patenaude, Jr. and Norma Laprise.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
