BARNSTABLE: Michael Allen Wareing, Esquire, age 55, a resident of Tewksbury for 26 years and a summer resident of West Yarmouth, died Thursday, July 7, 2005 after a long struggle with Renal Cell Carcinoma, first diagnosed in 1994.
He was the beloved husband of Dr. Carol (Giarrusso) Wareing, father of Laura Ashley Wareing, son of Joan (Sereigo) McGuire and Richard Chester Wareing, and brother of Richard Wareing, Charles Wareing, James Sereigo-Wareing, Denise Clegg, Diane Forrester and Glenn Wareing.
Born in Methuen, MA on March 21, 1950, he was raised in Methuen and graduated from Methuen High School in 1967.
Mr. Wareing received a B.S. Degree in Electronics Engineering from Northeastern University in 1974. In 1979, he earned a J.D. Degree in Juris Prudence at New England School of Law.
Mr. Wareing worked at Raytheon in Andover for 13 years, leaving to become an engineering manager at MA/COM. While pursuing his law degree, he worked for the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office scrupulously contesting fraudulent claims. He then moved to the West Coast, working for the Eaton Company and later returned to Massachusetts to work for Loral (Lockeed-Martin).
During the past eight years, he educated himself as a theoretical physicist.
Calling hours will be held Friday, July 15th, 2-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. A memorial Mass will be held Monday, July 18th, at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon at the Halcyon Condominium Complex Club House, 300 Buck Island Road, West Yarmouth.
