Mrs. Lillian L. (Maikisch) Paoletta, a longtime resident of Andover and beloved wife of the late Angelo A. Paoletta, passed away at the Academy Manor Nursing Center in Andover on Wednesday morning, May 25, 2016. She was 91 years old.
Born in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, on July 7, 1924, she was the beloved daughter of the late Anna Maikisch. Mrs. Paoletta was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a Catholic Daughter. She had worked at the Diane's Donut Shop for many years. In her spare time, Mrs. Paoletta enjoyed traveling, playing cards with her friends and bowling. Above all, Lillian was a devoted wife mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
Lillian was the loving mother of Joseph and his wife Irene Paoletta of Danville, New Hampshire, Nancy and her husband Butch Demastus of Barbeton, Ohio, Ralph and his wife Joanne Paoletta of Plaistow, New Hampshire and Diane and her husband Troy Kolden of Hudson, New Hampshire, cherished grandmother of Anthony Paoletta, Cindy Mann, Debbie Collins, Nicholas Paoletta, Thomas Paoletta, Cory Kolden and Austin Kolden and dear great-grandmother of eleven. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lillian was the grandmother of the late Jason Paoletta.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held int the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Friday, May 27, 2016, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody. Donations in Lillian's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
