Irene E. (Lacroix) Pires, 89, of Westport died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care. She was the wife of the late Francisco "Frank" Pires. Born in Fall River, she was daughter of the late Louis and Alice (Canuel) Lacroix. Mrs. Pires was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport.
Survivors include 2 sons: Edward J. Pires of Westport and Eric F. Pires of Westport; 3 daughters: Elaine T. Medeiros of Dartmouth, Denise D. Bonneau of Dartmouth and Sheila P. Sylvia of Dartmouth; a sister: Blanche Stariette of Swansea; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 4 - 7 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
