Obituary

Franklin A. Plotner, Sr. formerly of Canton of Humarock passed away May 23rd at the South Shore Hospital. Born in Boston, he was raised in Milton and graduated from Milton High School and Curry College and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Frank had a long career in the Restaurant Business where over the years he owned and operated Jimmy’s Diner and the Avenue Tavern in Mattapan, Dinero’s in Cohasset, Hingham Bay Club, The Ocean Club in Hull, Paesano’s in Kingston and the Inn on the Green in W. Bridgewater. He also was a licensed Real Estate Broker and owned commercial real estate on the South Shore. Frank was also a former member of the Mattapan Board of Trade and a volunteer for the National Kidney Foundation. He has lived in Humarock for the last 4 years and previously lived in Canton for over 50 years. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor I. (Jenkins). Father of Eleanormarie Mahoney of Bridgewater, Franklin A. Jr. of Quincy and Sherri Bainton of Canton. Brother of James Plotner of Hingham. Grandfather of Brian and Kyle Mahoney, Stephen and Joseph Bainton and the late Brendan Mahoney. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Thursday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Agatha Church Milton Friday morning at 10:30. Burial Milton Cemetery.
