Clifford Ora Porter, 92, of Anderson went to be with his Lord on May 23, 2016 at Lindberg Crossing Senior Living after an extended illness.
He was born March 17, 1924 in Greenfield, IN to James and Helen Porter. He was a high school graduate and attended classes at Purdue University.
He worked maintenance and was a UAW Attendance Counselor at Guide Lamp Division of General Motors for 50 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Eastern Star Church in Fishers, IN. He was a member of Prince Hall Mason, Wilson Lodge # 12, in Marion, IN.
He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Hall; two sons, Rev. Michael O. (Lillie) Carter of Little Rock, Ark and Marshall Carter of Anderson; four step children: Bennie Cochran, Donna (Gary) Johnson Lane, Diane (Fausto) Tapia and Warren Hall and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
