Laconia-------Wilfred J. "Bill" Plante, 98, died at the St. Francis Rehabilition Center, on Thursday, May 19, 2016.
Bill was born on October 2, 1917, he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and the British Royal Air Force.
Bill owned and operated Bill Plante Realtors, he served as President of Lakes Region Board of Realtors for 3 terms, State President of the NH Realtor Assoc., National Realtor Assoc. Director. He founded the Lakes Region Toastmasters, was a member and Past President of the Laconia Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed golfing and skiing. He had a great sense of humor often saying, "I'll see you later if you come to the same place".
Bill is survived by his very significant other, Dorothy O'Leary and her four daughters, a son Michael Plante of FL, and a grandson, Dean Plante of FL.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May, 25, 2016 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House entrance. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00pm also at the funeral home.
