PUTNAM, CT - Frederick M. Swallow, 70, of 7 Corbin Street, Putnam, passed peacefully Sunday, July 10th, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his loving family at his side. Fred's wife, Marion Swallow, predeceased him.
He leaves his sister Sylvia L. Cody and her husband John T. Cody, Sr. of Thompson, CT. His sisters, Edna Osborn, Charlotte Baker and Priscilla Lacausse predeceased him. He also leaves 5 children: 2 daughters, Tammy Padden of Lunenburg, MA and Lori Cullinan of Oxford, MA, 3 sons, Albert Swallow of Coventry, CT, Frederick Swallow of New Hampshire and George Swallow of Florida. He also leaves several grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, along with several nieces and nephews.
Frederick was born in Worcester, son of the late Morton and Edna Swallow. He served in the U.S. Marines. He was an avid gardener and a lover of animals.
Fred was a maintenance worker at Wal-Mart in Putnam. He previously worked as an auto mechanic.
Pastor Sylvia Cody will be officiating at the memorial service which will be held at the House of Prayer, 490 East Thompson Road, Thompson at a later date.
Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, Webster, is directing the arrangements.
