Rita A. Minton age 96 of Stoughton, formerly of Braintree passed away May 23rd at the Arbors in Stoughton surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Dorchester, she attended Boston Schools and graduated from Jeremiah Burke High School. She lived in Braintree for 25 years where she was a former member of the Braintree Council on Aging and the Meals on Wheels. She was an accomplished piano player and enjoyed music, dancing, and had a gift for arts and crafts. Beloved wife of the late Thomas F., Sr. Mother of Janet R. Minton, Thomas F. Minton Jr. and Rita Anne Minton all of Stoughton. Sister of the late Mary Meagher, Lillian Cotter, Gertrude Flanagan, James, John and William Damery. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Friday morning at 11:00.
