Margarethe T. (Kaisereiner) Berthiaume,80, passed on
peacefully on July 9, in the presence of her proud and loving family . She was born in Steyr, Austria on December 2, 1924, the daughter of Simon and Theresia (Krawinkler) Kaisereiner and sister to Erwin and Ida, who all
predeceased her. She ventured to Massachusetts in 1947, becoming a war
bride, leaving her military nursing career behind her. She began her new life in
Spencer, and built many strong friendships through her years as a beautician. She will be deeply missed by her loving family; her husband Paul E. Berthiaume
of 58 years, her son Erich Berthiaume and wife Carolyn of Holden, her daughter Simone
Trela and husband Dennis of N.Brookfield, grandchildren Sherrie Strothers and husband John of Stanford, Kentucky and Erich Berthiaume, Jr. and wife Brooke of Norman, OK. She leaves two very precious great-grandchildren Siena and Contessa Strothers. In addition she leaves behind several nieces and nephews and cousins here and in Austria. She is predeceased by two
sons Erwin and Paul Jr.. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, volunteered for Easter
seals and was a member of the former German Club in Worcester. She
enjoyed
gardening, bird watching, knitting, crochet, needle point, music and
singing.
The funeral will be held Thursday, July 14 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL
HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's
Church,
60 Maple St., Spencer. Burial will be in Mary, Queen of the Rosary
Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Wed., July 13 from 5 to 8 PM. In
lieu
of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
