Thomas J. ”Tom” Millin, Jr. age 67 died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at his home in Brockton. He was the husband of Joanne M. (DeCoste) Millin for 42 years. Tom was born in Dedham and made his home in Brockton for the last 40 years. He was the son of the late Thomas and Claire (Thibault) Millin.
Tom was a 1967 graduate of Dedham High School. During the Vietnam War he served in the US Army. Tom was a shipper/receiver at Gillette and retired in 2000 after 32 years of service. He then worked at Sullivan Tire in Brockton.
Tom will be remembered as a hardworking man who was also a homebody who enjoyed doing projects around the house. What gave him the most joy were his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Joanne, Tom is survived by his three children, David Millin and his wife Crystal of Brockton, MA, William Millin and his wife Rachel of Huntington, MA and Allysa Tibnam and her husband Jeffrey of Avon, MA; his six grandchildren, Haleigh, Amelia, Patrick, Alex, Jake and Kevin. He was the brother of Maureen Gamel of TX, Karen Maida of MA, Richard Millin of VA and the late Paul Millin. He also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton on Friday 5-8. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am in the funeral home followed by burial in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
