Patricia Ashley “Tricia” Messina , 25, of Derry, NH, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at her home in Derry, NH. She was born in Methuen, MA on September 17, 1990, a daughter of Alexander Messina and Lynda Turcotte. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Class of 2009 with High Honors. Tricia was a kind, caring, compassionate young woman, with a heart of gold. She loved animals and always put others before herself. She enjoyed spending time with her brother but her greatest joy was her children. They meant everything to her. Tricia has fought a long hard battle with addiction and was winning that fight until her recent relapse. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two children, Isabella Rose (age 4) and Joshua Isaiah (age 3), her mother, Lynda Turcotte, two brothers Damian Quinn and Alexander Messina, grandmother, Cathi Fulton, grandfather Alexander Messina, three aunts, Carrie Keller, Debbie Burke and Lee Ann Messina, as well as numerous cousins, extended family and close friends. She has gone to join her father, Alexander Messina Jr and the father of her two children Matthew Johnson.
Calling hours were held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry with cremation to follow. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, May 23rd at 11:30am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Ave., Derry.
