WAYLAND: Carolyn J. “Carol” (McNeil) Pendleton, 82, died on Monday, May 9, 2016 following a brief illness.
She was born on December 23, 1933 in Waltham the daughter of the late Edward D. McNeil and Elizabeth A. (Lane) McNeil Kershaw.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Martin L. Pendleton of Wayland. Devoted mother of Martin L. Pendleton, III of Framingham; Karen A. Chase and her husband Clay Chase of Wayland and Brian E. Pendleton and his wife Nadina Pendleton of Ware. Cherished grandmother of Ashley M. Pendleton; Michael E. Chase; Jennifer L. Chase; Brian E. Pendleton, Jr.; Cassandra J. Pendleton and Elizabeth M. Pendleton. Sister of the late Elizabeth Fifield.
She has been a resident of Wayland for over 54 years and spent her formative years in Waltham and graduated from Waltham High School. She was an Administrative Assistant for many years with the Hilton Hotel in Natick and retired after several years with the R. W. Beck Co. of Framingham as an Administrative Assistant.
Carol loved all types of animals, spending time with her family and friends and seeing her grandchildren.
Visitations will be on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Her funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00 am followed by interment in the Pendleton family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
In lieu of flowers her family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Carol’s memory be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
