Lila (Horton) Carroll, 82, of Berlin, NH passed away on Friday evening July 8, 2005 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin. She was born in Bangor, ME on July 1, 1923 the daughter of James and Sarah H. (Bartlett) Horton and has resided in the Berlin area since 1994. Prior to that time, she had resided in East Hampton, CT for 40 years. She was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the American Legion in Marlborough, CT.
Members of the family include 2 daughters Elizabeth Williams of West Milan, NH and Patricia Ferrier of Old Saybrook, CT; 7 grandchildren Crystal Martin and her husband Craig of Berlin, Jonathan Hall of Berlin, Jay Williams Jr. of Berlin, Katherine Williams of West Milan, Jillian Williams of West Milan, Melissa Ferrier and Sara Ferrier, both of Old Saybrook, CT; 1 brother James Horton of Bethlehem, PA; 1 sister Eleanor Remillard of Syracuse, NY; nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no services and no calling hours. Interment will be in the Village Cemetery in Pittsfield, ME at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home in Berlin, NH.
