Methuen –Rose A. (Bonfiglio) Miele, 91 of Methuen, passed on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmen F. Miele. Rose was born in Lawrence, MA on October 24, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Josephine (Brucato) Bonfiglio.
She was educated in Lawrence schools and graduated from Lawrence High School. She worked as a secretary at Lawrence District Court for 30 years until her retirement. Over the last 50 years, she enjoyed spending her summers at Salisbury Beach with her family, as well as listening to WCCM radio. Recently, she looked forward to her Sunday lunches with her niece at Tripoli Pizza. Rose was a devoted Catholic and valued her faith. She prayed the rosary daily while watching Catholic TV.
Rose is predeceased by her 2 sisters, Gloria Miele and Constance Thom. She will be deeply missed by her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Methuen Village for their care and compassion they gave to Rose over the past five years.
There will be no calling hours. Family and friends will honor and celebrate Rose’s life by gathering for her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel / St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen, MA. Guests are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
